My first map with "no ground." I wanted a space map but was unsure about what it should be. It's a good Free for all map that supports small games quite well.
At first glance it might seem a bit complex but it's rather simple actually. It's not a lot more than various platforms connected by pathways suspended by absolutely nothing. There are two styles to the platforms or asteroids. One is a fairly basic hunk of rock and the other are green, plant covered alien rocks. Often times the gameplay will focus on the top center platform though there's not a lot of cover or any advantage up there. (beats me) There are bunches of little buildings in the rocks for cover or ammunition. you may jump around as you please and may find quicker or more advantageous routes across or around the map. Be warned though, you may likely find yourself falling a very long distance before seeing a respawn timer if you miss a jump. Due the game not having to render any of the terrain and the maps overall lack of intense detail I was able to make a neat, fully breakable kind of crate. I took six small coffee tables and simply made a cube. When shot, they fall apart piece by piece. Even with these and a lot of glass around the map never even drops out of the green in terms of framerate. Again, it's more focused on small FFA games than big team matches.
